How Not To Do Online Music
Some companies tend to push the limits of their customers’ patience. Real, the guys who make Rhapsody, is a good example. I signed up for their Unlimited service, which still has quite a few limits on it. They claim over a million songs, but I must be pretty versed in music if I can find quite a few they don’t have. On top of that, some songs you still have to pay for (on top of the subscription fee) and none of my three MP3 players are compatible with their DRM so I can’t take my music with me. Well, a lot of those complaints are because of RIAA restrictions, so screw the RIAA, it’s time to cancel. I run through their little maze to find the cancel button, fill out all their questionaire:
Finally I get to the Cancel screen!
Whoops, not so fast buster …. WHAT THE F? Call their service number to cancel? Very nice! Needless to say, I dropped a dozen F-bombs in their suggestion box, presto, I get a nice letter saying I’m cancelled! Welcome to The Internet, bozos!
