Web Sites of the Year!
Kelly wrote this mid-afternoon:
I dunno, it’s a New Year and I’m feeling like giving credit where it is due! I propose the following two web sites get Of The Year status for engineers:
Samtec because you can go to their page, type a part number in their search and it gives you a pretty picture with lots of useful links. You can navigate fairly easily, build valid part numbers, order samples, and they arrive a couple days later at the most. Even custom parts. Yes, it even works with Firefox!
Digi-Key is awesome! I can place an order at the end of the work day and have parts here the next morning, and they’re two time-zones in the wrong direction. I don’t know how they do it.

Well I assume they have distribution centers all over the united states for logistic purposes:-)

Nope, one central place. With air-mail it doesn’t matter. In fact, if you Fed-Ex Air something even 300 miles away in the U.S., it always travels through Memphis.
